INYATSI Swazi Frontier has been listed in the Harper Collins' book, "World's Ultimate Cycling Races" published in the United Kingdom. It is one of only two Southern Africa races listed as among the top 300 best cycling events in the world!
Piggs Peak Hotel in northern Hhohho went all out to keep its guests happy during The Inyatsi Swazi Frontier mountain bike stage race 2015. As a result, it won the most votes from the cyclists in Inyatsi Swazi Frontier’s “Best Venue” competition.
The Best Venue Award was recently presented to General Manager, Zachariah Dlamini and his enthusiastic team at Piggs Peak Hotel. Whilst presenting the award, the Organiser of Inyatsi Swazi Frontier, Lesley Foss, complimented Piggs Peak Hotel’s team work and great service to the cyclists who stay at the hotel during the race. “The hotel staff welcomed almost 200 tired and hungry cyclists and race crew. They delivered excellent service and ensured their guests were comfortable and well fed.”
“All the race villages along our route have been chosen because of their ability to satisfy the cyclists’ needs. The Best Venue Award, however, is aimed at encouraging the race villages to go that extra mile and deliver an excellent experience which sets it apart,” said Foss.
The Piggs Peak Hotel team were delighted with being awarded Best Venue. The General Manager, Zachariah Dlamini, vowed to retain the floating trophy this coming year.
Inyatsi Swazi Frontier had the idea to design a unique floating trophy consisting of a glass carving of a double bed with a turned-down duvet and pillows, which was manufactured on its behalf by Ngwenya Glass. This is the 3rd year that the Best Venue Award has taken place.
